There is something special when a puppy from a breeding where you bred both the SIRE and the DAM of the litter turns out beautiful that just makes you especially proud. I don't do a lot of breeding... and I don't keep intact males at my house. I am reliant on working with other breeders with a common vision when it comes to stud dogs. When I bred "Dixie" in the summer of 2020, I decided to use the beautiful "Phoebe" son, "Quincy." Thankfully, Quincy is co-owned by me, and the wonderful Ronda Ryan and she and I worked together to make the breeding happen over the 4th of July weekend in Michigan.... which resulted in a litter of 13 puppies being born over Labor Day Weekend. "Gracie" was named "Margaux" and wore a Magenta colored ric-rac ribbon in that litter.
I had been recommended by a breeder to Felicia and Tim Wright - who at the time were living in Texas. They were interested in a show bitch. We became acquainted and talked about the parameters of the relationship and agreed we would go on the journey together. I picked "Margaux" for them, and they came to pick her up at 8 weeks. Time went on and "Gracie" was home growing up at their beautiful lake front home in Texas.... but things were meant to change. It wasn't long and the Wright's decided to move - - and ironically, they ended up just an hour south of me in Tennessee.
We waited for Gracie to mature, and when I saw her around 18 months I was completely excited with the way she had developed. I made arrangements for her to be handled by Liz Powell of Powell Professional Handling and Gracie was quickly on her way.
In four short weekends, Gracie amassed two 5-point majors, and finished her championship in 8 shows - her last win being a fun Best of Breed from the classes over specials. While we were hoping she would finish undefeated, she was beaten once in those 8 shows. (She almost made it!!)
This girl has a beautiful front, lovely breed type, a gorgeous head and muzzle, a correct PWD tail, nice rib spring and bone and has the happiest, fun-loving PWD temperament. She is completely full of joy and mischief.
We are very thankful to Liz for piloting Gracie to her championship so quickly. Thank you also to her lovely owners, Tim and Felicia, for loving and caring for her.... she is a gem, and so are you guys!
Check out her pedigree.... so grateful for the breeder's that contributed to creating her lineage. No one breed's great dogs alone!
